Check and Balance Power in Land Acquisition: A Case Study of Vietnam

Abstract

Managing land is a complicated issue not only in Vietnam but also in many countries around the world. In recent years, there have been many cases related to violations of land acquisition in Vietnam. This situation makes people not trust in the leadership of the Communist Party and the State as well as reduces the confidence of investors and enterprises when conducting land lease activities for business development in Vietnam. One of the reasons for illegal land acquisition is that the state’s control over power is still inadequate. In this paper, the author will analysis detail the controlling power in land acquisition in Vietnam and recommend some solutions to solve the related problems.
