Abstract

The incorporation of digital technology in education is essential for enhancing teaching efficiency and optimizing school administrative operations. This analysis assesses the efficacy of the Pijar Sekolah application, a digital tool aimed at improving educational management in Indonesia. The study examines four essential elements: System Quality, Information Quality, Service Quality, and User Satisfaction, and their impact on the intention to utilize the platform.

A quantitative research method was utilized, gathering data from 231 active users of the application, comprising school administrators and teachers. The analysis of the data was conducted through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to assess the interrelationships among the variables. The results demonstrate that Information Quality and Service Quality have a substantial influence on user satisfaction and the intention to use, whereas System Quality exerts a lesser impact. Furthermore, it was observed that user satisfaction played a mediating role in the connection between platform features and the overall benefits experienced by users.

This study enhances our comprehension of digital transformation in education, providing theoretical insights and practical recommendations aimed at improving the usability and scalability of educational technologies. It is essential for those in positions of authority and development to focus on designs that center around the user in order to enhance the effectiveness of these platforms. Future investigations should delve into supplementary variables and the enduring viability of digital solutions in education.

Abstract

eSIM has become a game changer and has created disruption in digital technology, reshaping the telecommunication Industry. PT Indosat, a prominent player in the Indonesian telecommunication market, has been proactive in launching eSIM. However, despite aggressive efforts, the adoption rate has not met the company’s expectations. This research aims to investigate the variables influencing consumer intention to use eSIM and to gather a thorough understanding of the factors affecting eSIM adoption by utilizing the modified UTAUT2 model. In this study, the independent variables are Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Technology Trust, and Word of Mouth. In the meantime, the dependent variables are Behaviour Intention and adoption. A quantitative survey was conducted using purposive sampling from eSIM users. The analysis of the data was conducted using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS3. The findings indicate that eSIM adoption influenced by seven variables mentioned. Only one variable Social Influence does not significantly affect the user behaviour toward eSIM adoption. Organisations can develop targeted strategies to foster digital growth and increase user adoption by understanding the factors that influence eSIM adoption.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact on various sectors, including training and certification. Digitalization in training management has become an urgent necessity, especially to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process. PT Telkom Prima Cipta Certifia (TPCC) developed the E-Training Application System (SAE) as a solution to support training and certification activities. However, challenges in the use of SAE, such as technical issues, system quality, and user acceptance, remain major concerns. Therefore, a deep understanding of the factors influencing the acceptance and use of this application is needed. This study aims to analyze the use and acceptance of the SAE technology at PT TPCC by employing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the DeLone-McLean model. The variables examined include Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Information Quality, System Quality, Behavioral Intention, Use Behavior, and Facilitating Conditions. This quantitative research was conducted by distributing an in-depth questionnaire to 400 SAE users at PT TPCC. Data analysis was performed using AMOS to test the model and research hypotheses. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper insight into the factors that influence the acceptance and use of SAE technology at TPCC. These findings can serve as a foundation for PT TPCC to develop more effective strategies for implementing and enhancing SAE, thereby improving the efficiency and effectiveness of training and certification processes. The research findings provide recommendations and improvement priorities. The top three priorities are system quality, behavioral intention, and use behavior

Abstract

The telecommunication industry in Indonesia is experiencing dynamic changes with the emergency of innovative digital telco services. Indosat, as one of Indonesia’s top telco providers, must adapt to these developments and create better digital telco services to meet customer needs and desires. The goal of this project is to use Design Thinking approaches to create a new digital telco service for Indosat. Understanding user demands and creating innovative and practical solutions are made easier with the help of Design Thinking approach. The study used a descriptive qualitative research methodology and featured a case study about the development of a new digital telco service for Indosat that would replace “MPWR” (pronounced empower). MPWR is an application-based service for mobile prepaid cards that allows users to buy various digital products and services, such as reload, data packages and other digital products. This research uses a variety of research techniques, such as interviews, observation, and brainstorming, to gather data and insights into the needs and preferences of users. This data and information are then analyzed and used to develop a prototype of new digital telco services. Utilizing user testing techniques, this new digital telco service prototype was assessed. Test results indicate that this prototype is well received by users and has the potential to develop into a profitable digital telco service. This research demonstrates how Indosat may better address customer needs and offer digital telco service by implementing a Design Thinking methodology. The new digital telco service prototype developed in this research can be a good example for Indosat in developing innovative and competitive digital telco services.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the Balance Scorecard and accounting information systems on investment decision making through assessing company performance. The Balance Scorecard as a performance management tool provides a comprehensive view of financial and non-financial aspects that are relevant for investment decision making through assessing company performance, while the accounting information system supports the decision-making process by providing accurate and relevant information.

The research results show that the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Balance Scorecard and accounting information system indicators have a significant influence on Investment decision making, while Performance Assessment alone is not able to mediate the Balance Scorecard and accounting Information System in Investment Decision Making. Because the Balance Scorecard is the Balance Scorecard as Performance management tools provide a comprehensive view of financial and non-financial aspects relevant for investment decision making, while accounting information systems support the decision-making process by providing accurate and relevant information.

These findings indicate that the implementation of the KPI Balance Scorecard and effective accounting information system indicators can improve the quality of investment decisions to be more accurate and comprehensive. The implications of this research support the importance of integrating these two tools in strategic decision-making practices in companies.

Abstract

Many companies have recruited young employees, known as Generation Z (Gen-Z), to fill positions needed by the company. This is in response to the challenge companies face in adapting to the changing times. Gen-Z employees will begin to replace the roles of previous generations in the workforce. One characteristic of Gen-Z employees is their tendency to easily switch companies, so an important factor that companies need to maintain is employee retention. This research seeks to determine levels for career development, job satisfaction and employee retention among Gen-Z employees, as well as to examine the im-pact of career development and job satisfaction on employee retention in manufacturing companies in the Karawang region. A quantitative model is applied in this process, incorporating both descriptive and verificative approaches, and the analysis tool is SEM PLS. Data collection techniques include observation and the distribution of questionnaires to 155 respondents of Gen-Z employees in manufacturing companies in the Karawang region. Descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing showed that the career development variable is categorized as quite good, job satisfaction is categorized as unsatisfactory, and employee retention is categorized as poor. Additionally, career development and job satisfaction have a positively and significantly impact to employee retention.

Abstract

The payment gateway industry in Indonesia is rapidly growing, with the Finpay Payment Gateway being a key product. However, its market share is only 4%, indicating ongoing issues and shortcomings. This study aims to explore these issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Business Model Canvas (BMC) approaches. The research is a descriptive qualitative study, using observation and interviews for data collection.

Using a fishbone diagram approach, the study identifies the root cause of the problem using RCA. A Business Model Canvas (BMC) is then created using a Business Model Pivot (BMP) to determine the right business model for Finpay Payment Gateway. The analysis of the BMC reveals that Finpay Payment Gateway has a solid foundation in managing customer segments and offering a specific value proposition. However, several areas require further attention to increase competitiveness in the highly competitive Payment Gateway aggregator industry.
The RCA analysis identifies structural and operational challenges, such as policies, regulatory compliance, lack of innovation, and complex processes, as the root causes of the problems. The study recommends adjustments to the existing BMC to address these issues.

Abstract

Poor corporate governance entrenches poor mishandling of earnings, resulting in bad corporate image and financial capital its importance. Based on this factor this study examines into the effect of corporate governance on performance of manufacturing companies in Nigeria. The study used the panel data that was sourced within 2017 to 2022. The simple and convenience sampling technique was employed in selecting seven manufacturing companies. The panel regression analysis reveals that board Independence and Board Gender Diversity has positive significant effect on Return on Risk-Weighted Asset, while board Size has positive insignificant effect on Return on Risk-Weighted Asset. It is therefore recommended that Organizations should prioritize enhancing board independence by including more non-executive directors with relevant expertise to strengthen accountability and decision-making. Efforts should also be made to improve board gender diversity by promoting equal opportunities and inclusive policies that attract skilled female professionals to board positions. While board size showed an insignificant effect, firms should maintain an optimal board size tailored to their operational complexity to avoid inefficiencies.

Keywords: Board Size, Board Gender Diversity, Board Independence and Return on Risk-Weighted

Abstract

This study examines the causal relationships between leadership, organizational communication, work culture, job satisfaction, and employee performance within PT Jamkrida Jatim. Employing Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0, this research investigates the interactions among independent variables (leadership, organizational communication, and work culture), the mediating variable (job satisfaction), and the dependent variable (employee performance). The findings reveal the following: (1) leadership does not significantly influence job satisfaction; (2) organizational communication positively impacts job satisfaction; (3) work culture has a strong effect on job satisfaction; (4) leadership significantly enhances employee performance; (5) organizational communication does not significantly influence employee performance; (6) work culture does not significantly affect employee performance; (7) job satisfaction does not directly contribute to employee performance; (8) job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between leadership and employee performance; (9) job satisfaction does not mediate the effect of organizational communication on employee performance; and (10) job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between work culture and employee performance. These findings underscore the need for organizations to focus on leadership development, effective communication strategies, and fostering a positive work culture to enhance job satisfaction and employee performance. While these findings provide important insights, they could be extended in future studies with a larger sample size or in different organizational contexts.
